Terms and Conditions

Welcome to NotWorking Events LLC. By registering for or participating in any of our events, you agree to the terms outlined below. These Terms and Conditions are intended to ensure the safety, integrity, and enjoyment of all participants, as well as to clarify the expectations and responsibilities between you (the “Participant”) and NotWorking Events LLC (“we,” “us,” “our”).

These terms apply to all events hosted by NotWorking Events LLC, including but not limited to: pickleball tournaments, recreational sports, themed mixers, charity events, group games, team-building activities, and other related gatherings.

1. Registration and Payment Terms

All event registrations must be completed online through our official website or form submission.

Your registration is not confirmed until full payment has been received.

Events are limited capacity and filled on a first-paid, first-confirmed basis.

Payments are processed securely via Square. NotWorking Events LLC does not store your full payment credentials.

2. Cancellation and Refund Policy

Participant Cancellations

Cancellations made 7 days or more before the event — unless otherwise stated in the event description — are eligible for a 50% refund or 100% credit toward a future event.

Cancellations made within 7 days of the scheduled event are non-refundable due to venue reservations, staffing, and material commitments.

No-shows without advance notice will not be eligible for any refund or credit.

Event Cancellations by NotWorking Events

We reserve the right to cancel or reschedule events due to inclement weather, low registration, venue issues, or other unforeseen circumstances. In these situations, registered participants will be offered one of the following options:

• Rescheduling to a new date

• Full credit toward a future event

• Full refund (at our discretion)

3. Event Participation and Conduct

All participants must follow event rules, behave respectfully, and cooperate with staff, volunteers, and venue personnel.

Disruptive, unsafe, or disrespectful behavior may result in removal from the event without refund.

Participation in activities is voluntary and subject to individual discretion and capability.

4. Waiver and Assumption of Risk for Physical Activities

Many NotWorking Events involve physical activity, including but not limited to: pickleball, recreational sports, and movement-based games.

By registering for or attending these events, participants acknowledge and accept the following:

• A signed liability waiver is required for participation in any physical activity.

• Participation involves inherent risks of injury, including but not limited to sprains, strains, collisions, or falls.

• Each participant affirms they are physically capable of participating and, if needed, have consulted a physician.

• By attending, participants voluntarily assume all risks and release NotWorking Events LLC, its organizers, staff, sponsors, and venue partners from liability related to injury, illness, loss, or damage.

5. Media Release and Promotion

Unless the participant notifies us in writing prior to the event:

• Photos and videos taken during the event may be used in promotional materials, social media, websites, or advertisements by NotWorking Events LLC.

• Participants grant permission for the use of their likeness in such materials without compensation.

6. Equipment and Belongings

Event-specific gear (e.g., paddles, balls, props) may be provided. Participants are responsible for returning any borrowed items in good condition.

Lost, stolen, or damaged personal items are the responsibility of the participant. NotWorking Events LLC is not liable for personal belongings.

7. Venue Access and Event Logistics

Participants are responsible for arriving at the correct venue on time.

Any changes in venue or schedule will be communicated via email and/or SMS to the contact details provided during registration.

Failure to arrive at the correct location or time may result in forfeiture of participation with no refund.

8. Age Requirements and Supervision

Most events are designed for participants aged 18 and older unless otherwise stated.

For youth-inclusive events, minors must be accompanied and supervised by a parent or legal guardian at all times.

9. Data Collection and Communication Consent

By registering, you consent to the collection of basic contact information (name, phone number, email) for the following purposes:

• Registration confirmations

• Event reminders or updates

• Important last-minute communications

We do not sell or share your information with outside parties for advertising purposes. Communication is strictly event related.
